Playbill: A Homage to Musical Theatre

About the Concert

Tampa Bay’s very own Tampa Bay Symphonic Winds will take the stage for their first concert of the season.

About this event

The ensemble will be performing “Playbill: A Homage to Musical Theatre”. Musical theatre, meeting somewhere between pop and opera, has a distinct way of delivering a complete artistic experience to audiences by encompassing many components of the performing arts. After an arduous year living through the global pandemic, the Tampa Bay Symphonic Winds continues its in-person performances to celebrate that the music is back. What better way to celebrate the performing arts than with a musical-themed symphonic band concert? This concert will include symphonic works from Bernstein’s West Side Story, a vocal solo performance from Jekyll and Hyde, and even a dance number from A Chorus Line. Please join us as we return to the main stage at Hillsborough Community College Performing Arts Ybor City and present “Playbill: A Homage to Musical Theatre”.
