About the Concert

America turns 250 this year, and the Tampa Bay Pride Band is marking the occasion with a concert that looks both backward and forward.

The Tampa Bay Symphonic Winds present an afternoon of American band music at its best — stirring marches and fanfares, music from some of the country’s most beloved film and concert composers, and quieter moments of reflection on who we’ve been and who we’re still becoming. It’s a program built on the idea that patriotism and celebration have always sounded like a lot of different things at once.

The Tampa Bay Pride Jazz Band joins the program with a set drawn from the great American songbook and beyond — the kind of music that reminds you jazz is one of this country’s finest inventions.

We may also have a surprise or two in store. You’ll have to be there.

This is our first concert at Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, and we’re thrilled to bring our music to a new neighborhood. Everyone is welcome — bring a friend, bring your family, bring anyone who loves a good band concert.

Note: Currently Seminole Heights UMC elevator is out of order, so at this time the venue is not ADA compliant, as there are no elevators or ramps into or out of the sanctuary space. They are under contract to have the elevator repaired.

The Tampa Bay Pride Band is a proud member of the Pride Bands Alliance and the Association of Concert Bands.
