2023-2024 Returning Member Registration

Welcome back! We are happy to see you return. We are a concert band, marching band, jazz band and colorguard made up of LGBTQ+ members and allies supporting the Tampa Bay area and LGBTQ+ community through the performing arts since 2014. We are a non-audition community band. We encourage musicians of all ability levels to join us to present and promote music of the highest artistic quality. Our emphasis is playing music in a fun and welcoming environment.

Attendance:

Attendance at rehearsals and performances is of paramount importance for a quality ensemble. Each member is responsible for making their section leader aware of conflicts as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly for the group.

Uniform:

Uniforms for concert performances will be concert black (black top, black bottoms, black jacket if desired, black shoes/socks, and Pride accessories) unless otherwise advised.

Uniforms for marching band performances will be the black TBPB shirt with black bottoms (shorts preferred), black shoes, and black socks unless otherwise advised. Uniform shirts will be available for purchase for $15 upon registration. Uniforms are the responsibility of the performer.

Membership Dues:

A membership due of $30 each fall and spring is collected from every band member participating in the Tampa Bay Pride Band and Tampa Bay Symphonic Winds. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, membership dues help TBPB and TBSW continue its mission and provide an all-inclusive environment, high quality music, and performance opportunities to forge a close-knit community of diverse musicians.

Membership dues are collected on or before the 3rd rehearsal. Student membership dues are $15 each fall and each spring. Under certain hardship conditions, the membership dues can be waived if approved by the Board President.

In addition to the membership dues, all Tampa Bay Pride Band members participating in the marching band are required to pay an additional t-shirt fee of $15. Member who own a shirt will not need to pay the t-shirt fee unless they need a replacement.

Rehearsal and Concert Expectations:

Rehearsals are based off the long-standing orchestral tradition of rehearsal and concert etiquette. All performers should arrive early and prepared with all material for a successful rehearsal. Each member shall be responsible for preparing their music based off the notes and markings from the previous rehearsal.

If a conflict or emergency were to come up, please notify your section leader immediately.
