2022-2023 Alliance Youth Band of Tampa Bay Registration

We are a concert band, marching band, and colorguard made up secondary aged students, 7th – 12th grade, from around the Tampa Bay area. Alliance Youth Band of Tampa Bay rehearse weekly on Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:30pm before each concert. New instrumentalists are welcome to start at any time.

2022-2023 Update: Our rehearsals will be held at Hillsborough Community College Performing Arts Building in Historic Ybor City, 1411 East 11th Ave. Tampa, FL 33605. See our calendar for rehearsal and performance dates.

We are a non-audition wind band. We encourage musicians of all ability levels to join our band. Our aim is to present and promote music of the highest artistic quality. The emphasis is playing music in a fun and welcoming environment.

Reviewing and agreeing to the current handbook is required for participation in the Alliance Youth Band of Tampa Bay.

Attendance

Attendance at rehearsals and performances is of paramount importance for a quality ensemble. Each member is responsible for making their section leader aware of conflicts as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly for the group.

Membership Dues

A membership due of $25 each fall and spring is collected from every band member participating in the Alliance Youth Band of Tampa Bay. AYBTB is part of the nonprofit organization, Tampa Bay Pride Band. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, membership dues help Tampa Bay Pride Band and AYBTB continue its mission and provide an all-inclusive environment, high quality music, and performance opportunities to forge a close-knit community of diverse musicians. Membership dues are collected on or before the 3rd rehearsal. Under certain hardship conditions, the membership dues can be waived if approved by the Board President.

Rehearsal and Performance Expectations

Rehearsals are based off the long-standing orchestral tradition of rehearsal and concert etiquette. All performers should arrive early and prepared with all material for a successful rehearsal. Each member shall be responsible for preparing their music based off the notes and markings from the previous rehearsal.
